I love to write at the beach. And I’ve had that opportunity off and on over the years. But I don’t live at the beach, so whenever I’m there, I also spend time staring at the waves, or walking in the sand.
As my grandson grows older, I’m sure that beach time may be more about building sandcastles and playing at the water’s edge than writing lots of words. But I don’t delay writing until I’m at the beach, or any other place that I might deem as perfect. I write wherever I am, regardless of whether or not it’s perfect.
