At the airport in Amsterdam, they were looking for people to take a later flight, and offering compensation. I was traveling with my husband and daughter, and we discussed it briefly, but had things we needed to be back for. While my family respected me and we had had a great trip, I imagined a woman whose husband was a jerk and the teenage daughter was disrespecting her mother constantly. With the birth of our very-much-hoped-for grandchild, my husband is the primary daycare provider so we aren’t traveling very far, or very often. We may not be traveling all over the world, but we are seeing the world in our grandson’s eyes. I expect to find much inspiration there as well.
